The newly founded Downsville Central School Art Club is eager to announce their first “Ice Cream Bowl” will be held on Thursday, June 8, from 5-6:30pm. At the Ice Cream Bowl, attendees can choose from a selection of handmade clay bowls, pick an ice cream flavor, enjoy, and bring their bowls home with them. This event is modeled after Empty Bowls projects that bring together artists and community service workers to raise funds for charitable causes.
Members of the Art Club have been busy making clay bowls and there will be a wide variety of bowls to choose from. Ice Cream and toppings will be available to fill those bowls at the Ice Cream Bowl. Participants can bring their bowls home and continue to enjoy them. All are invited to attend the event- but Ms. Comer expects the bowls to sell out quickly!
